Primary SEND Teaching Assistants for two of their schools based in Wolverhampton. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team providing high-quality education and support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
About the SchoolOne of the Trust’s sites currently provides education for
52 pupils across 6 classes. This
Staffordshire-based Generic Special School caters to children aged
2 to 11 years old with diverse and complex needs that cannot be met within mainstream education. The school adopts a
flexible pathways approach, ensuring tailored curriculum plans that cater to each individual child’s progression.
Staff work holistically to support
academic learning, social development, and self-esteem building, encouraging pupils to develop self-regulation skills and a positive ‘can do’ attitude.

The Ideal CandidateWe are seeking compassionate and proactive
SEND Teaching Assistants who can provide exceptional support to students with special educational needs. Candidates
must meet the following requirements:
- Recent UK-based experience working within a school setting.
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Teaching Assistant.
- Experience supporting students with SEND, preferably in a school environment.
- Ability to work on a 1:1 basis with pupils requiring additional support.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to classroom support.
- Strong understanding of SEND needs and how to assist students effectively.
- Willingness to assist with personal care as required.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new DBS check.
- Able to provide a minimum of 2 references covering atleast the past 2 years.
