Are you a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher ready to make a real impact in the classroom? Smile Education is proud to be working with a vibrant and supportive primary school in Manchester, currently seeking an enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their team.
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply – we’d love to support your journey into teaching!
 
What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons to Year 1 pupils.
  • Collaborating with and guiding your Teaching Assistant.
  • Creating a positive learning environment and managing classroom behaviour.
  • Marking work and providing meaningful, constructive feedback.
  • Supporting individual students and small groups where needed.
  • Being an active part of the school’s inclusive and dynamic teaching community.
 
What We’re Looking For:
  • A UK-recognised teaching qualification with QTS or PGCE.
  • Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
  • Relevant experience working with children (references required).
  • Confidence teaching across class, group, and 1:1 settings.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and nurturing young learners.
  • An enhanced DBS check (can be processed through Smile Education).
