Smile Education is working in partnership with a supportive and welcoming primary school in Oldham, seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to lead a Year 1 class. Your enthusiasm and expertise can help young children build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Position Details

Role: Primary Teacher – Year 1
Location: Oldham
Start Date: Immediate
Pay: £160 – £210 per day (based on experience)
Contract: Full-time

What You’ll Be Doing

Deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons to Year 1 pupils, in line with the KS1 curriculum.
Foster a warm and inclusive classroom that supports early learning and development.
Provide 1:1 and small group support to help children reach key milestones.
Use creative and structured play-based learning techniques to inspire curiosity.
Monitor progress and work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support each child.

What We’re Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE.
Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1.
A nurturing, creative, and patient teaching style.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
A current enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one via Smile Education).
