Many pupils in this school need additional support to enable them to be successful in the classroom and throughout school. The role will be very varied, working across all phases of the school. Each day is a new challenge and you will make a difference to the lives of our pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine the strategic development of SEN policy and provision in the school
- Coordinate the day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and specific provision to support individual pupils
- Provide professional guidance and support to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents/carers, and external agencies
- Maintain an accurate SEND register and provision map, analysing assessment data to inform interventions
- Identify pupils' SEN, coordinate provision, and communicate regularly with parents/carers
- Promote the inclusion of pupils with SEND in the school community and access to the curriculum
- Act as the designated teacher for looked-after and previously looked-after children
- Lead INSET training and share best practises with the staff team

- We are seeking an exceptional and passionate Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) and Designated Teacher for Looked after Children to join our dedicated team.
