We’re pleased to announce the beginning of a new Managed Service Provision (MSP) partnership between Smile Education and Bordesley Multi Academy Trust (BMAT) — our seventh MSP launched under the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) Framework Lot 2.1.
BMAT is a values-led trust based in Worcestershire, comprising four schools: Holyoakes Field First School, Birchensale Middle School, Woodfield Academy, and Trinity High School. The trust’s ethos — built on autonomy, trust, equity, and collaboration — aligns closely with our own commitment to providing meaningful, ethical support to schools and the communities they serve.
A Partnership Built on Shared Values
From our first conversations, it was clear that BMAT sought a recruitment partner who could do more than simply fill vacancies. They were looking for a relationship rooted in trust, transparency, and a genuine understanding of the challenges and opportunities schools face.
This partnership reflects our shared commitment to:
Working in partnership with BMAT is a privilege,” said Katy Rees, Managing Director of Smile Education. “They are deeply committed to their pupils, their staff, and the wider community. Our role is to support that mission with care, consistency, and a shared sense of purpose.”
This partnership with Smile Education reflects our commitment to securing the best talent for our schools while streamlining recruitment across the Trust. By working with a trusted provider, we can focus more of our time and resources on delivering high-quality education and supporting our students’- COO Faisal Khawaja
A Collaborative, Managed Service Approach
Our MSP model is designed to ease the pressure on school leaders and support staff by streamlining recruitment into a single, coordinated process.
What this means for BMAT is:
But more than any structure or system, what matters most is people — and we’re excited to be working alongside school teams across the trust to support them in delivering the best possible education for their students.
